The Project

The completed expansion of Ronald McDonald House^® Northern Alberta was our solution to meeting growing demands, while still remaining a place of comfort to families and providing a happy atmosphere for children. Our goal is to not turn away any family due to lack of space.

With the expansion, Ronald McDonald House^® Northern Alberta  increased from 12,800 to 42,000 square feet. The number of bedrooms increased from 30; 14 more than previously available, while two of these are fully wheelchair accessible. Each room has a full bathroom. The inclusion of underground parking and much needed air conditioning is also new to our families. Renovations to the old site enabled us to provide new and expanded programs and services to better support children and families.
